Office1 is proud to announce that we have received the Ricoh Circle of Excellence award for 2018! This is the fourth consecutive year that our office has qualified for this award, and we are eager to continue to exceed the high expectations of our clients.
About the award
The Ricoh Circle of Excellence award is one of the most prestigious honors in the business services electronics industry, and it is presented annually to a dealership that embodies the commitment to service excellence that is a hallmark of the Ricoh brand. Out of approximately 400 Ricoh U.S. dealers in the Ricoh family, Office1 is one of the select few who will ever earn this remarkable achievement.
The Ricoh brand relies on this network of dealers in order to educate customers about products and provide a level of service that is consistent with company values. Receiving this award is a reflection of Office1’s dedication to these principles, and it is one that is shared by every member of the team.
The qualification and testing process
The Ricoh Circle of Excellence award recognizes excellence in service across all areas — whether by serving customers with passion, strengthening company programs or contributing to an outstanding organizational culture — and the qualification and testing process reflects this breadth. In order to even be considered for the award, dealerships must meet specific standards across myriad categories.
Size and scope
The first criteria required in order to be eligible is that dealer offices must serve a minimum number of clients and serve them consistently with distinction. If an office qualifies in this regard, they can then be nominated by employees and move on to the following phases.
Once an office has been nominated, then its service team members are required to complete a challenging test that is intended to grade their knowledge and proficiencies in outstanding service practices. This requires the team members in question to devote a considerable amount of extra time outside of their regular duties to studying for the exam. We are proud to announce that our team members earned one of the highest average scores on the test out of any dealer office in the country.
Finally, the nominated office is required to submit evidence to the award committee that details their service track record. This evidence includes details of employee training initiatives, long-term strategic service plans, service call records and descriptions, aggregated office statistics, and more. With these records in hand, the committee can review the performance of the dealership holistically and make the final determination.
Outstanding recognition for a team effort
Ultimately, being included in the Ricoh Circle of Excellence is important because it demonstrates a passion for serving our clients among every member of our team. The application process took more than nine months in its entirety. Between providing outstanding results for our clients, studying for the test, and compiling data and records, it is the culmination of an outstanding effort from the entire team.
Receiving the Ricoh Circle of Excellence designation doesn’t mean that we can rest on our laurels. Instead, it is representative of how our employees go above and beyond for our customers every single day. We are extremely proud to receive this great honor, but it pales in comparison to the pride we feel when we are able to help our clients achieve something great.
