Here at Office1, we believe that the foundation of our success is rooted in our incredible and highly talented team. In our "Inside the Office" series, we get the opportunity to put a spotlight on the people who keep innovating in order to push Office1 to new heights.

In this edition, we say goodbye to service technician Richard Lee as he heads into retirement after 6 years of serving our customers in San Diego.

Read below to find out what's next after Office1.

Office1 Service technician

Richard, what do you do for Office1?
I am a field engineer in San Diego.

When did you start with Office1?
I started with Office1 in 2012.

Did you pick up any nicknames during your time with us?
Oh yeah, a lot of them. None of them you can print haha!

Will you be staying in the San Diego area?
Yes I am.

What is your favorite thing about working for Office1?
Learning the new technology and the challenges of trying to fix something. I've also enjoyed working with the people.

Pick one of the three O's (Origin, Operation, Opportunity) and tell us what it means to you?
Opportunity. There are a lot of changes and new products coming on board. Everybody is getting the opportunity to learn new stuff and grow within the company.

What does being retired mean to you?
Being retired means not having to work 40 hours a week, get up early in the morning. It's an opportunity to do things other than work. It's freedom.

What excites you the most about retirement?
I'm excited to spend more time with my friends and relatives.

Do you have any travel plans?
Oh yeah, I'll be going throughout the United States, Canada, Asia, Africa, Europe and Russia. I have friends all over the world. I'll be leeching off of them wherever I go. Hotels are expensive!

Do you have a favorite quote?
"Don't wish your life away."

Do you have a bucket list of things you would like to do?
I don't have a bucket list to be honest with you. I just do things as they come along. When I see something I would like to do, I do it.

What is one thing your co-workers would be surprised to know about you?
They know pretty much all about me. Something they may not know is that I donate a lot of money to cancer research, children's foundations, Challenged Athletes Foundation and helping kids going overseas to compete in research and athletics.

Do you have any advice that you would like to leave behind?
Don't wait until retirement to enjoy life. Enjoy it now. Spend time with your family now because by the time you're about to leave this world, it will be too late.

Richard's commitment and dedication to Office1 and his customers has played an important role in the growth, reputation and success of our company.
Although we will miss him, we wish him the best as he heads into retirement. He has more than earned the right to spend more time with his loved ones. Please join us in extending our warmest wishes for the future to RIchard and his family.
