Inside the Office with Peggy

In this edition, we get to know Office1 Employee of the Year, CSR Manager Peggy Barnhart.

Peggy, how does it feel to be the Office1 Employee of the Year?

Exciting! It was a total surprise for me! I didn't expect it. It feels exciting, wonderful and amazing to be recognized as Employee of the Year.

What’s the biggest project on your to-do list right now?

Right now, to expand the CSC department and to share more of my knowledge with the girls so they can expand the knowledge that they already have.

Do you have any nicknames?

PJ, my brother Randy gave me that nickname when he was young because it was hard for him to say Peggy so he just started calling me PJ.

Where did you grow up?

Tacoma, Washington

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I actually wanted to be a business owner. I thought it would be awesome to own your own business and build something from the ground up. To take something from nothing and turn it into something.

What was your first job?

My first job was a dispatcher. I dispatched security guards so I was destined to work for Office1.

What is your favorite part about living in Las Vegas?

I've been here almost 29 years and my favorite part is the sunshine because in Tacoma it rained all the time.

What is your favorite thing about working for Office1?

I love the atmosphere and camaraderie of all the employees. I love the fact that Todd gives us the opportunity to grow within the company. He allows us to make mistakes and learn from them. That gives us the opportunity to learn and grow even more.

Pick one of the three O's (Origin, Operation, Opportunity) and tell us what it means to you?

Opportunity. When you have opportunities, you can take those opportunities to learn and grow from them. That gives you more opportunities.

What excites you the most about your job?

I think the most exciting part about my job is that every single day I get to help customers because I like to help people. I like to take something that is broken and be able to turn around and fix it.

What are your biggest pet peeves?

Being late for work. Why can you not get up in time? Why can't you make sure you are on time and ready to work.

What is your favorite quote?

If you could pick a superpower, what would you choose?

To fly because I think flying seems to be such a freeing thing. You could just run and take off flying. You could just soar like a bird. I think it would be awesome!
